It's not often that we see a really good knitted skirt. Kate Bostwick has designed a beautiful pattern for a pencil skirt that looks very flattering. But she is not a one trick horse, she does sweaters, baby rompers and mittens brilliantly as well, just to mention a few of her lovely designs. Below are my top four favourites from her hand. Knit Crush: Kung Midas Design - Saga Hein

Saga Hein from Sweden has an eye for details. Her designs feature a good amount of stockinette, but are never boring thanks to the beautiful touches she adds to each piece, a well placed cable here and there. Birka and Katla especially calls to me, while Helmia looks like something straight out of a Rowan knitting magazine. Which piece do you like best?

Knit Crush: JumperCables Knitting

Yarnovers can add such elegance to a design. Simple in themselves, they can be made in clusters to form timeless and elegant designs. One designer, who really master the yarnovers in my opinion, is Annie Baker of JumperCables Knitting. This lady claims she likes designs, that have clean lines and patterns, that are easy to remember. I couldn't agree more.

Knit Crush: Yellowcosmo

This month I'd like to share a designer with you who really has an eye for details, Yellowcosmo. We all know those big names and I fully want to support their success, but it is also wonderful when you find someone equally talented, but not as well known! Frankly, you have to love someone whose first knitting project was a steeked two colour sweater. Connie says she didn't know she was supposed to knit simple things as a beginner. I think we shouldn't tell anyone ever again that anything in knitting is hard and voila they'll do just fine! For more of Connie's brilliancy, check out her blog Days By the Water.
